- 7. Means of Support

- 8. Patronage

- Note: Church took a dim view of his defense of Copernicus (Uranoscopia seu De Caelo, 1617) and he was recalled to Milan by the archbishop. He swiftly withdrew his assertations in a pamphlet to be appended (where possible) to the book. Nevertheless, Baranzano had the active support thru this difficult episode of St. Francis de Sales, Bp. of Geneva, which must have helped.
- When seeking to gain royal approval for the Barnabite school at Montargis, he had the support of Antonio de Hayes of Montargis.
