Here is the copied letter, Sire, along with the wish that it meet with your approval, so that at other times I may again be able to help you by my work, seeing as it gives me such great pleasure and happiness to busy myself in serving you.

Madonna is not in the best position to purchase wine just now, at least not until we have finished the little bit we have gathered, and therefore she makes her excuses to you accordingly, and thanks you for extending the offer even though she is unable to accept it. The wine you sent to Suor Arcangela is perfect as far as she is concerned and she thanks you for it: and I join her in thanking you for the thread and your many other loving gestures.

So as not to delay the servant I will say no more, except to send you most heartfelt greetings from all of us here and to pray the Lord God for the fulfillment of your every desire.
